The 2015 Volkswagen Touareg has been recently spied in the Alps, where the popular SUV, in its updated version, was testing on a public road.
The German based automaker Volkswagen is planning to develop a new version of the Touareg in order to stay close to its competition from Mercedes-Benz and BMW, with their ML and X5, but while the competition has unveiled new generations of the two popular SUVs, Volkswagen seems to have adopted a facelift. The footage posted below is showing the 2015 Volkswagen Touareg testing in the Alps and even if it has a lot of camouflage on its body, our guess is that the model is a facelift.
Besides the updated front and rear fascias, which will probably get redesigned headlights, new taillights, modified bumpers and daytime running lights, the updated version of the Volkswagen Touareg is expected to get more power from its current engine lineup, which will be carried over. For example, the popular 3.0 liter TDI V6 diesel will produce approximately 260 HP, from the current 225 HP. Additional details on the 2015 Volkswagen Touareg are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its debut, probably next year.
