The new generation of the Audi A4 has been caught on camera recently while being tested out on the famous German track, the Nurburgring.
Carmakers are going wild about the Nurburgring over these past few years and since its two main competitors, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the BMW 3-Series, have been developed on the German track, Audi couldn’t have missed out on the “fun” and decided to use the same circuit in order to test its new A4 generation. The clip posted below is showing a prototype of the popular mid-size car going on the streets near the track and then being driven fast on it. You may want to plug your headphones in before clicking the play button because the engine can be heard.
The 2016 Audi A4 will be officially presented to the public during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September. The model is expected to gain an evolutionary design, with aggressive headlights and all the regular modifications. The interior design will be coming with the tablet-style center display, with the full digital instrument cluster which will be “hosting” the navigation system too and with several other tweaks. As far as the engine lineup goes, this is expected to bring petrol, diesel and hybrid units which will be rated at between 120 HP (88 kW) and 326 HP (240 kW). More details on the new Audi A4 generation remain unknown for the moment and will be made public once this will debut in Frankfurt.
