The new generation of the Audi S4 Sedan has been caught on camera while it was being tested out on the Nurburgring.
The Nurburgring officials may have banned lap record attempts and slowed things down on some portions of the track but that doesn’t mean that carmakers cannot test drive their future vehicles here and Audi doesn’t seem to be that impressed with the newest announcement made so it has taken its new S4 Sedan and gave it a “push” on the “Green Hell”.
The new generation of the Audi A4 is just around the corner as it is expected to be officially unveiled before the end of this month, but for the hotter S4 customers will have to wait, probably until the end of the year, in order to see it officially. The camouflaged prototype seen in this clip is expected to drop 100 kg (220 lbs) from its total weight and to carry an updated 3.0 liter TFSI six-cylinder engine under its hood, rated at approximately 370 HP. The new Audi S4 Sedan is going to be taking on the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG but this will not be the range-topping version of the model, as this will be reserved for the RS4. This will however be introduced sometimes in 2017, so you’re better off with a C63 AMG or an M3 by then.
