A rendered animation of the Chevrolet Camaro’s new generation is showing us how the model may look like once it will be ready for the public.
With Ford pulling the wraps off the new Mustang generation and Dodge taking it to a whole new level with the Challenger SRT Hellcat, Chevrolet has fallen behind on its Camaro because the muscle car is still being developed. The new generation of the model is currently being tested out as it has been caught on camera several times until now, by our spy photographers. But the clip posted below is not about test mules and it is actually an animated rendering which will give us with a glimpse on what the model may be like.
Rumor has it that the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will be riding on the Alpha platform, in a reworked version, which is also found on the Cadillac ATS. The suspension system will be significantly upgraded, however, and this should lead to better handling. The engine lineup is expected to be made out of the 2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit, with 272 HP and 400 Nm, from the ATS, which will become a rival for the Ford Mustang EcoBoost, which is getting a 2.3 liter four-cylinder rated at 310 HP and 433 Nm of torque. The new Camaro generation should be unveiled by the end of the year but an exact date for when this will happen is not known at this time. More details on the model are limited at this time.
