Nissan has previewed the 2016 Maxima in the brand new video released by the company for the Super Bowl XLIX.
The Japanese based automaker has released a video for the Super Bowl, after pulling the wraps off the new GT-R LM NISMO racing car, which is giving us a glimpse on the upcoming 2016 Maxima. The vehicle is previewed with the help of the emotional ad “With Dad” which came out during the Super Bowl last night, when the racer was officially unveiled. The brand new Nissan Maxima is being previewed by the Sport Sedan Concept, which has been officially presented to the public back in 2014, during the NAIAS.
The model in question is believed to adopt the V-Motion front fascia, the boomerang shaped LED headlights, the chrome grille and the floating roof design. The 21-inch alloy wheels seen on the concept might become smaller on the final production variant while the interior design will be packing in the sport steering wheel, the leather seats, the updated infotainment system, the metallic trim and so on.
We are not sure exactly what the production variant will be using under its hood, but the concept came with a 3.5 liter V6, with 300 HP (223 kW). If the same unit will be added to the car, than this will probably be good for 260 HP (194 kW). The 2016 Nissan Maxima is expected to be officially unveiled during the 2015 New York Auto Show, on the 1st of April, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
