Another promotional video with the new generation of the Astra has been released by Opel.
After debuting online a few months back, the new generation of the Opel Astra is now returning to our attention with the help of yet another promotional video which is telling us that the German compact vehicle is way better than the upper luxury class in which we can find Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo and Jaguar vehicles, amongst others. We won’t tell you anything more on this new promo because you simply have to see it for yourselves.
The new Opel Astra K has a starting price of 17,960 euros, on its local market. For the money you will get a 1.0 liter 3-cylinder turbocharged engine under the hood, producing 105 HP (77 kW), connected to a 5-speed transmission. The average fuel consumption stands at 4.3L / 100km (65.6 mpg UK / 54.7 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions stop at 99 g/km. The 5-speed automatic gearbox option is lowering the fuel consumption to 4.2L / 100km (65 mpg UK / 67.2 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions are brought to 96 g/km. The economical 1.6L CDTI costs 20,260 euros and this has a 1.6 liter diesel engine under the hood, with 95 HP (70 kW) and with 136 HP (100 kW). With the 6-speed manual this is eating 3.4L / 100km (69.1 mpg UK / 83 mpg US), while emitting 90 g/km of CO2.
