Another prototype of the next Porsche Panamera generation has been caught on camera once again which it was being tested out on public roads in Stuttgart, Germany.
A new spy video released onto the web is showing us the new generation of the Porsche Panamera. The model in question has been caught on camera in a district of Stuttgart, Germany, and it is proof that development of the luxury cruiser is continuing after a month ago we have seen it being tested out near the Arctic Circle, in a cold climate.
The 2016 Porsche Panamera is believed to shed about 100 kg from its total weight, compared to the current version, and this will be made possible by using different materials in its production process and, most importantly, to the new MSB (Modular Standard Platform), signed by the Volkswagen Group, which should give birth, in the future, to several high end vehicles. This will also include the next Bentley Continental range and also the new generation of the Porsche 911, amongst others.
The new generation of the Porsche Panamera will be getting an evolutionary design so don’t expect any drastic changes in this chapter because it will still be instantly recognizable. The engine lineup will add several brand new units and these will include the V6 twin turbo in the Panamera S, which will replace the old V8. The Panamera Turbo will be keeping the V8. Expect some more interesting hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, along with AWD options and long wheelbase variants.
