The fourth – and we’re hoping final – teaser for the production-ready Kia GT (the name is not set in stone) has arrived, showcasing the most to date and also announcing the use of a turbocharged mill.
While in previous teasers we saw some hood vents, this clip also shows the model will pack sporty side vents – but that’s not a surprise because the previewing 2011 Kia GT concept also used them. The connections continue – the front fascia will be adorned with a couple of vertical vents, which arguably now look even better than on the prototype. By the way, in case you didn’t know how the teasing game works we can tell you this is the flagship variant, so more accessible models will drop some of the sportiness. The range-topping version will also pack goodies such as quad exhaust tips and a myriad of glossy black accents.
More importantly, the video also announces the use of a turbocharged engine, with the official identity still under wraps. Of course, everyone thinks the Kia GT will borrow the newly developed biturbo 3.3-liter V6 from the Genesis brand where it packs 365 horsepower (272 kilowatts) and 376 pound-feet (509 Newton-meters). There are even rumors the GT will actually have an upgraded version of the engine, delivering even more grunt.
