The new E Class Coupe is expected to debut online this Wednesday and Mercedes is already at full throttle with the teasing campaign – but the marketing ploy has been blown to pieces thanks to a brochure leak.
The company has recently released a short teaser video that is actually quite revealing – as a brief moment is lending a thorough look at the taillights, which have a different design compared to the C and S Class coupe brethrens, exhibiting the same “stardust effect” originally introduced on the E-Class sedan. Moving on to the interior, it’s not really hard to think the Coupe will share most of the styling of the E Class sedan and wagon, save for a few details such as new air vents and different seats.
Moving on, the Internet has actually caught an official brochure of the 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe (C238) thanks to a Belgian website called AutoTijd, which even presents the full roster, including the Avantgarde and AMG Line models. Among the most noticeable features we can mention the latter’s sportier body kit with diamond-studded front grille and 19-inch alloy wheels but also the small third-side window. Another interesting information is the availability at launch of the E400 4Matic biturbo 3.0-liter V6 packing 329 horsepower (245 kilowatts) and 354 pound-feet (480 Newton-meters) of torque, hooked to the company’s nine-speed automatic transmission.
