The Italian based automaker Fiat has recently released a teaser video with the all-new Abarth 500 Cabrio, ahead of the model’s debut during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Abarth 500 Cabrio is probably one of the most expected versions of the Fiat 500 and now the model is getting even closer to its future customers over-seas. The automaker is using Scuderia Ferrari drivers Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso in order to promote the US-spec Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio, which will be officially presented to the public for the first time during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, on the 28th of November.
According to the car manufacturer, the Abarth 500 Cabrio is coming with an aggressive body kit which is adding new bumpers and revised side skirts and we can also expect a sport tuned suspension, high performance braking system, a dual exhaust system and probably 16-inch alloy wheels. Power to the Abarth 500 Cabrio will come from the same engine found under the hood of the Abarth 500, the 1.4 liter four-cylinder turbocharged, which is producing a total output of 160 BHP (119 kW) and 230 Nm of torque (170 lb-ft). A five-speed manual transmission will send power to the front-wheel drive. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment.
