Acura has taken the new NSX on the world famous Pikes Peak Hill Climb.
In case you are a fan of the old NSX, you have come to the right place, because its official successor, which is wearing the same name, is the subject of a new video. The clip, which has been posted below, is showing the sports car in action on the world famous Pikes Peak Hill Climb. The video is showing some interesting action scenes and it is also revealing the sound of the engine, so you may want to plug in your headphones and turn the volume up before clicking the play button.
As a small reminder, the Acura NSX has been officially unveiled at the beginning of this year, at the North American International Auto Show, in Detroit. The sports car will be competing against models like the Audi R8 V10, the Ferrari 488 GTB, the Lamborghini Huracan, the Porsche 911 Turbo and the McLaren 570S. The vehicle is making use of a 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 engine, which is connected to the SH AWD system, through a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. The new NSX is also getting a rear-mounted electric motor, positioned between the internal combustion unit and the gearbox. There are also two electric motors mounted in the front, for dynamic torque vectoring. The NSX should need less than 4 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill.
