Alfa Romeo has went beyond its head in the presentation of its newest model, the Giulia, as it had Andrea Bocelli perform after the carmaker’s officials have spoken.
The new Alfa Romeo Giulia has been driven on the stage for the first time in its official presentation and since this is considered to be an extremely important model for the Italian brand, the carmaker couldn’t make it the usual presentation so Andrea Bocelli has performed during the event.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia is the official successor of the 159 and it will go ahead against the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the BMW 3-Series and the Audi A4. The model in question has been unveiled in its range-topping Quadrifoglio Verde (QV) version and it is rivaling the C63 AMG S, the M3 and the upcoming RS4. The performance sedan is making use of a Ferrari sourced engine, which has been mounted in the front. The six-cylinder turbocharged petrol burner is capable of producing a total output of 503 HP (375 kW), which are being sent to the rear-wheel drive, allowing the car to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds. The vehicle has a perfect 50/50 weight distribution and the all-wheel drive system will become available but as an option. The Alfa Romeo Giulia will be shown at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show too and full details on it are expected to be announced at the German automotive event.
