The well known aftermarket specialist is delivering a two-part teaser for their latest model coming out during the 2017 Geneva Motor Show – the all-new B5.
Since BMW has recently came out with the all-new 5 Series and it’s now in the process of delivering more versions, it was only natural that Alpina – basically a household name for the Germans – is coming out with its own interpretation. So, here’s the high-performance sedan B5 showcasing its prowess in the snow, complete with full body camouflage. But rest assured – under that camo is hiding a lightly customized exterior design – the well known tuner isn’t abandoning anytime soon its elegant ways. As far as we can tell, the classic multi-spoke alloy wheels and blue brake calipers are also on the menu, which is set on the course of the 5 Series Sedan G30.
The new B5 Bi-Turbo is expected to come out with just about the same amount of ponies as the outgoing model (600 hp) – but it’s going to be quicker because the newest 5 Series is making use of the CLAR platform for lightweighting. The only question will be if the owner should go for the new B5 or wait a little for the proper M5. Anyways, as far as we know, with BMW killing off the M5 Touring, if you want muscle in a practical manner you’ll have to wait for the upcoming Alpina B5 wagon.
