Starting next month, Amazon Prime members will be getting another dose of motoring adrenaline as they will be graced with the new series that takes a behind-the-scenes look at the racing wonder of Le Mans.
It has been aptly named “Le Mans: Racing is Everything”, and this Amazon original series is teased to deliver “unprecedented access” to the legendary 24-hour endurance race, including the view from no less than six race teams. The series has been produced with London-based production company New Black Films, and will not only center on the enduring legacy of the race but also focus on six racing teams looking to enter the legends. Amazon isn’t actually going for the underdogs here – Porsche, Audi, Nissan, Toyota, and Aston Martin are all big names in the show.
Only one example of the former category is present – Rebellion Racing, an independent Swiss racing team established back in 2010, which has disappeared for four years and is now returning to Le Mans for the 2017 race, which kicks off on June 17. “Fans are consistently thrilled by the excitement and danger that is the annual Le Mans race. Le Mans: Racing is Everything will take that excitement to the next level, giving Prime members behind-the-scenes access to what it takes to win this singular event,” commented Conrad Riggs, Head of Unscripted, Amazon Originals.
