The only unit of the Skoda Superb in the United States is the subject of a brand new video which has ended up onto the web.
The Czech based automaker Skoda is not currently offering a model in the United States so a video in which the flagship Superb model is being taken to the United States and shown to ordinary people on the street will always make a good story to cover. The clip posted below isn’t brought to you by Skoda but it has been signed by Bob Flavin, an Irish automotive journalist, who has taken the right-hand drive version of the previous Skoda Superb generation to the streets and captured the experience on camera for a video which will have you thinking, especially if you are living in the U.S.
The previous generation of the Skoda Superb has been recently replaced by a newer one, which has been officially presented to the public during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere. The model in question is getting a slender front grille, optional bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, standard LED taillights, sculpted hood, shorter front overhangs, a slightly sloping roofline and an 80 mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor. The model is also packing, depending on the selected version, a 12-speaker Canton audio system, tri-zone climate control, heated seats, panoramic glass roof or an umbrella in each front door. The engine lineup includes petrol burners producing between 125 HP (92 kW) and 280 HP (206 kW) and diesel units rated at 120 HP (88 kW) – 190 HP (140 kW).
