Another example of the Lamborghini Gallardo has been completely destroyed by fire in Shanghai.
Car manufacturers whose vehicles tend to spontaneously combust are keeping quiet on the main reason behind this and while the companies aren’t saying anything about the flames eating some of their models, more and more exotic rides tend to go out “sparkling”. The most recent example of such an incident is coming all the way from Shanghai.
According to the local media, the passenger of the Italian supercar has started to smell smoke. The driver has then pulled over and stopped the engine but unfortunately it was already too late, as the vehicle has been eaten by flames. The local fire crews have arrived at the scene fast enough but since the exotic ride was already burning big time, they didn’t managed to save it. The fire has been mostly centered around the engine bay and the cabin but happily no one was injured in it. The car looks a total wreck.
Lamborghini has put together the Gallardo between 2003 and 2013, when it was replaced by the Huracan. This used to be the company’s best-selling model, as more than 14,000 units have been put together. It was offered with am mid-engine and all-wheel / rear-wheel drive, depending on the selected version, with a 5.0L V10 / 5.2L V10, connected to a 6-speed manual / 6-speed automated manual transmission. Two body styles of the exotic ride were offered by the carmaker, 2-door coupe and 2-door roadster.
