What was once Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH has now become Apollo Automobil and the first model to come up from the new outlet is the Intensa Emozione hypercar, which has been on the teasing radar for quite a while now.
The boutique automaker has decided to entice its fans even more with a rather revealing teaser video that delivers some juicy details about the model that’s seemingly going to eat up the tarmac on world famous tracks. The short but sweet 40-second video gives away some of the features of the high-performance monster, with obvious traits such as packing a huge rear wing linked to a central fin that looks inspired from an LMP1 car. Also noteworthy is the central exhaust system with three diamond-shape exhausts for a personal look of the IE, which seems to have incurred a full carbon fiber diet.
Up front, we even caught glimpse of a splitter and numerous flicks that undoubtedly serve the functions of the extreme aero pack. Gullwing doors and center-locking wheels backed by AP Racing carbon ceramic brakes have a fleeting moment as well. The cabin looks bloody red, has even more carbon fiber and a removable steering wheel like on a real racer, while the body-hugging seats seem to have been linked to a six-point harness. The video even gives us a soundtrack – a glorious one, because it’s the voice of what’s rumored to be a naturally aspirated V12 engine with more than 800 horsepower (596 kilowatts) and in excess of 516 pound-feet (700 Newton meters) of torque.
