A strange and camouflaged version of the BMW M4 Coupe has been caught on camera recently, on the famous German track, the Nurburgring, where it was being tested out. The model in question is believed to be a lightweight GTS version of the new M4 Coupe which should be hitting the market sometimes in 2016, as a 2017 model year. The performance coupe will become a true track weapon and it will be getting larger brakes, a fixed rear wing, a roll cage and an updated suspension system, amongst others.
The BMW M4 GTS will be weighing less than 1,400 kg (3,086 lbs), compared to the standard M4’s 1,572 kg (3,465 lbs), thanks to the lightweight body and to the stripped cabin. Rumor has it that the 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder engine found under its hood will be more powerful than the 431 HP (371 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque from the regular M4 and it should be producing approximately 450 HP (331 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. More details on the M4 GTS remain unknown for the moment.
