The British supercar manufacturer has decided to entice us to the upcoming reveal of the DB11 flagship by providing teaser footage depicting the history of the previous iterations.
The all new DB11 will make its official debut on March 1 during the Geneva Motor Show but before that Aston has decide to showcase a darkened video that allows us to catch glimpses of the car – the design of the hood or the shape of the side mirror caps. By the way, last week we already saw a leaked image of the model caught in the metal during a VIP private presentation and we already know the front end will sport an evolutionary styling. The teaser video is here to showcase the DB11’s heritage as a proud representative of the iconic DB lineup – aiming to carry on the tradition that first started back in 1948 with the 2-Litre Sports (aka DB1).
But the DB11 is a product of the modern era altogether and as such Aston is paying respect to the turbocharging era with the model’s new biturbo 5.2-liter V12 engine that is reportedly able to produce about 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts). The model is also expected to sport later on during the life cycle a biturbo V8 4.0-liter engine via Mercedes-AMG. We’re now keeping our slippers on because we may be treated to an online “leak” ahead of the official presentation taking place during the Geneva Motor Show kicking off next week.
