Audi has released a new promotional video with the A3 e-tron Sportback in which some of tech on the model is being highlighted.
The German based automaker Audi is bringing the A3 e-tron Sportback into our attention once again, after introducing it in several markets across the Old Continent, with the help of a video. The clip posted below is highlighting some of the technologies which have been fitted on the company’s first plug-in hybrid. The Audi A3 e-tron is already available for order in markets such as the United Kingdom, where its starting price has been set at 34,950 GBP.
The model in question is being powered by a 1.4 liter TFSI four-cylinder petrol burnet, producing 147 HP. This is being backed up by an electric motor which is adding 100 HP. When the two units are working together, the peak torque stands at 350 Nm (258 lb-ft), which is translated into a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration made in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h (137 mph). The vehicle is emitting just 37 g/km of CO2. The order books for the model have began this month but the first deliveries will be made in January, next year.
