[VIDEO] Audi A3 Sedan gets IIHS’ Top Safety Pick Plus
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has recently awarded the newly introduced Audi A3 Sedan with a Top Safety Pick Plus rating, after the compact sedan has been crash tested.
Good news for those of you who were looking into adding the new Audi A3 Sedan to your garages but who weren’t so sure about its safety. The IIHS has recently awarded the compact sedan with a Top Safety Pick Plus rating, after the model in question has been crash tested.
“The TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating for the A3 sedan demonstrates the full Audi commitment to safety. With a host of standard luxury features, industry-first technology and uncompromised design, the Audi A3 raises the bar as to what is expected out of entry-level luxury vehicles”, said Mark Del Rosso, the Audi of America chief operating officer.
Some of the safety features found on the new Audi A3 Sedan include the daytime running lights, the electronic stability control, the rollover sensor which is deploying the side curtain airbags in the case of an impending rollover, the driver and front passenger knee airbags, the separate airbags in the lower instrument panel, the antilock brakes, the front, rear head curtain airbags, the front seat-mounted torso airbags, the rear seat-mounted torso airbags and so on. Prices for the new Audi A3 Sedan will start at 29,900 USD and the model will go on sale from this April.
