[Video] Audi believes the RS7 Performance is able to bring “tears of joy” image

The Ingolstadt-based automaker has decided to reveal a fresh advertisement for the latest addition to the Sportback family – the RS7 Sportback Performance – which, as the name implies, comes to the party with even more oomph.

According to Audi, its latest and arguably the greatest to date RS7 is able to convey those emotions that men usually carefully conceal beneath a hardened shell. And that’s because in Audi’s view the RS7 Performance will be able to snatch some tears of joy when the driver pushes the pedal to the metal – the new “Tear Drop” ad has been released this weekend by Audi USA.

We’ll give the nod to the Audi RS7 Performance for packing 605 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque under the bonnet which makes it asphalt happy and able to do the 0-60 miles per hour (0-96 kilometers per hour) run in just 3.6 seconds on its way to the maximum speed of electronically-unrestricted 190 mph (305 km/h). By the way, if you find yourself in need of even more power than the already hulking amount you get by default, the overboost function is there to lift the maximum torque to 553 lb-ft. Handling will be guaranteed by the standard quattro all-wheel drive system that has been linked to the eight-speed Tiptronic transmission and stopping power is granted via the carbon ceramic brakes tucked behind the 21-inch alloy wheels. The RS7 Performance is available in the US since December and it will be yours for a cool $129,000.
