Another piece of the Audi Q5 puzzle is now in place courtesy of the latest trailer – which reveals the model will get – optional most likely – an adjustable air suspension as seen on its larger brother the Q7.
The Audi Q5 will premiere on Thursday at the onset of the Paris Motor Show, so the second generation crossover is presenting its credentials as quickly and as often possible. Unlike the previous generation, the new and improved Q5 will be made available with optional adjustable air suspension, which has an impact n both comfort and stability – but also on its off-road capabilities. Audi has not released any specific details about the new Q5 adaptive air suspension, but it’s a safe guess it’s going to be inspired by the one found inside the Q7. On the bigger SUV the driver can select five modes: standard, allroad (+25 mm), off-road/lift (+60 mm), dynamic (-15 mm), and loading (lowers the rear axle by 55 mm).
From the previous teasers we found out the Q5 will also be packing the optional matrix LED headlights and most likely a larger trunk thanks to increased dimensions compared to the outgoing model. Only the larger Q5 will actually be slimmer than its older counterpart – thanks to the use of the MLB Evo platform that could result in a diet of up to 220 pounds (100 kilograms).
