The brand new Audi R8 e-tron has been caught on camera recently while it was being driven fast around the Nurburgring.
What is probably the most expected version of the new Audi R8 generation, the R8 e-tron, is being highlighted these days once again, this time with a „spy” video, which is showing it in action on the famous German track, the Nurburgring. The model in question may have been officially unveiled a few months back but this isnt stopping Audi into performing several last-minute tweaks to it. The “greener” version of the new Audi R8 generation, the R8 e-tron, has been officially unveiled, over the web, back in February, this year, and it was followed by its official public debut, which took place at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in March. The model in question is getting the T-shaped battery layout which has been fitted in the center tunnel behind the occupant cell. This is a new generation of lithium-ion high voltage produced by Audi and specially developed for this electric car. The model has been labeled as 2.0 and it is denoting the evolution of the previous variant which, sadly, never made it into production. The R8 e-tron 2.0 has two electric motors producing a total of 462 HP (340 kW) and 920 Nm (679 lb-ft) of torque, allowing the supercar to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9s and to go up to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
