Another promotional video with the Audi RS3 Sportback has been released and the impressive hot hatch is purely defying aquaplaning.
It’s not often that you see a hot hatch taking on a pneumatic boat, especially in a lot of water, so coming across this clip just had to be shared. The video has been called Audi RS3 versus H2O and it is showing a partial race between the premium compact range-topping model and a boat, in an attempt to prove that the Quattro all-wheel drive system added to it is helping the car ignore aquaplaning. But rather than talk about it, we’d better let you take a look at it for yourselves.
The Audi RS3 Sportback is the range-topping model of the new A3 generation. The vehicle has an aerodynamic body kit which, besides improving its performance, it also has the job of letting it stand out from the regular models. Other goodies worth mentioning include the high performance brakes, the sport tuned suspension system, the contrast stitching on the Nappa leather sport seats, flat bottom steering wheel and others. Under its hood, the 2.5 liter five-cylinder petrol unit is found, rated at 367 HP (270 kW) and 465 Nm (342 lb-ft) of torque. This is sending power to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system through a 7-speed S tronic transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 4.3 seconds and top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
