[VIDEO] Audi RS5 Cabrio hits the track

The German based automaker Audi has released a new video with the RS5 Cabrio where the powerful drop top is being shown in action on the race track.

After it was officially presented to the public a few months ago and with the company releasing new official images just a day before writing this article, the brand new Audi RS5 Cabrio is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the German based automaker releasing a new video with the model. The footage posted below is showing the RS5 Cabrio in action and we must admit that the exhaust sound is simply perfect.

The new Audi RS5 Cabrio is powered by the same high-revving 4.2 liter V8 naturally aspirated engine, which is developing 444 HP (450 PS) at 8,250 rpm, with a peak torque of 430 Nm (318 lb-ft), available between 4,000 rpm and 6,000 rpm. Power is being sent to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system with a self-locking crown-gear center differential and torque vectoring via the seven-speed S tronic transmission. The RS5 Cabrio can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds before reaching the electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The speed limiter can be lifted and the model will reach 280 km/h (174 mph). The Audi drop top is burning 10.7L of fuel every 100km (22 mpg US) and the model will be priced from 88,500 EUR once it will go on sale in its home market. The RS5 Cabrio will be launched in the U.S. too, next year.
