Audi has released a new set of official images, along with a video presentation, with the brand new RS5 Cabrio.
The fastest four-seat convertible signed by Audi, the RS5 Cabrio, is ending up in our news once again and after it was officially presented to the public almost three months ago, during the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the carmaker has released new official images with the model. Just like the Coupe version, the new Audi RS5 Cabrio is getting the same naturally aspirated high-revving 4.2 liter V8 engine under its hood, which is producing a total output of 444 HP (450 PS) at 8,250 rpm and it has a peak torque of 430 Nm (318 lb-ft) available between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm.
The unit is mated to a seven-speed S tronic transmission, which is sending power to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system with a self-locking crown-gear center differential and torque vectoring. No manual transmission option is available for the model. The Audi RS5 Cabrio can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), but the limit can be lifted and the model will reach 280 km/h (174 mph). The combined fuel consumption stands at 10.7L / 100km (22 mpg US). Prices for the model in Germany start at 88,500 EUR (114,500 USD). The RS5 Cabrio will be launched in the U.S. next year.
