Audi has released a first teaser video with the all-new RS5 Cabrio, which will be officially presented to the public in a world premiere at the 2012 Paris Motor Show later on this month.
The new Audi RS5 Cabrio has been described as the “perfect combination of power and elegance” and, just as you probably thought, the model is based on the coupe version but it steps out in a crowd thanks to its traditional soft top. The German based automaker says that the Audi RS5 Cabrio will be unveiled on the 6th of September, ahead of its world debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show this month.
The Audi RS5 Cabrio is powered by a 4.2 liter V8 engine which is developing a total output of 444 horsepower (450 PS / 332 kW) and it has a peak torque of 430 Nm (317 lb-ft). The engine is mated to a seven-speed S tronic transmission which is allowing the convertible to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. Unfortunately additional details on the RS5 Cabrio are limited for the moment and we should wait for its public debut in order to find out more about it.
