Autocar’s Matt Prior has recently went for a spin in the hottest version of the new-gen TT, for the moment at least, the TT-S.
The new generation of the Audi TT has been officially unveiled earlier this year and its top of the line version, the TT-S, is currently being tested out by Autocar. The Audi TT-S is riding on the MQB modular platform and it has an evolutionary design with muscular side skirts, large front air intakes, chromed hexagonal front grille, LED headlights, trunk lip spoiler, quad exhaust system, LED taillights and so on. The cabin is bringing silver accents, leather upholstery, a 12.3-inch TFT touch screen, standard sport seats and so on.
Power to the Audi TT-S is being provided by a 2.0 liter TFSI four-cylinder engine. The unit is capable of producing a total output of 310 HP (228 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is made in just 4.7 seconds, according to the car manufacturer.
