The newest addition to Land Rover’s lineup, the Discovery Sport, has been driven recently by Autocar.
JLR has added a brand new model to its lineup, the Land Rover Discovery Sport. The model in question has been officially unveiled a couple of months ago and it managed to impress the guys from Auto Express in their review as it turned out to be a good vehicle off-road and on the road. But what is Autocar’s opinion on that? Well, you can find out the answer to that question below.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport has been shown at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, in an European premiere. The model debuted in the United States too, at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. In terms of design, the off-roader has been heavily influenced by the Range Rover Evoque but it is coming with front and rear skid plates, front fender vents, acoustic laminated windshield, LED daytime running lights, xenon headlights and so on. At the moment, the only engine available on the Freelander’s replacement is the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 240 HP (179 kW) and 338 Nm (250 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to a 9-speed automatic, sending power to the standard AWD.
