Bentley has released a new teaser video with the upcoming Bentayga SUV as the vehicle is being shown where no Bentley has ever arrived before.
The future Bentley Bentayga will be an extremely versatile vehicle and if the crowded cities with a chauffeur behind the wheel and a businessman in the rear is what most are thinking when they are hearing about a luxury SUV, don’t underestimate its performance because it will also be able to go off-roading, which is what the company is proving in the clip posted below. The video is showing a prototype of the Bentayga in some harsh terrain, managing to get out without asking too many questions, so you may become a fan of the SUV eventually thanks to its capacities.
The Bentley Bentayga will be the carmaker’s first ever SUV. This will be a production version of the EXP 9 F Concept, shown a few years back, but its final design will be different than the one of the one-off vehicle. The Bentayga is expected to weigh approximately 2,000 kg and it will be based on the new generation of the Audi Q7. The model will be coming with a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood and, in its range-topping version, a 6.0 liter W12 TSI twin turbo, with 608 HP (447 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque, will be added. Later on, the company will be bringing a plug-in hybrid version too. Rumor has it that the production Bentayga will be shown at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September.
