A new teaser video with the upcoming Bentley Bentayga has been released by the luxury carmaker.
The Bentley Bentayga is just around the corner as the model is expected to be introduced over the next few months, but before this will happen, the company needs to make sure that everything is in its right place and working just like it should. This is what prototypes are for and as the carmaker is also making sure that you don’t forget all about the luxury SUV, the model in question is the star of a new teaser video.
The clip, which has been posted below, is showing two prototype variants of the vehicle being driven in snowy Sweden, conducting its cold-weather testing. The models are wearing a heavy camouflage on their bodies so don’t expect to see anything significant at this time. Bentley is currently describing the Bentayga as “the world’s most powerful SUV”. This will be based on the new generation of the Audi Q7 and it is believed to weigh at about 2,000 kg. Rumor has it that the V8 turbo diesel engine will be added to its hood, along with a W12 TSI petrol burner, which will be the range-topping version, capable of producing 600 HP and 900 Nm of torque. A plug-in hybrid powertrain is also expected to be introduced, but this will happen sometimes in 2017. The Bentayga might see daylight in Q1 2016.
