Bentley has brought its Continental GT Speed model at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it managed to attract quite a crowd.
Even if for the untrained eye this might seem like a regular Continental GT and most automakers are trying to “copy” Porsche these days, the Bentley Continental GT Speed is actually the newest model in the Volkswagen sub-brand’s lineup and it’s coming with a massive front grille painted in matte black, dark chrome tail pipes in the rear and a fresh set of 21-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 275/35 Pirelli P Zero tires.
The Bentley Continental GT Speed is the most powerful version of the British Coupe and the luxurious vehicle is getting an impressive W12 engine, which is able to deliver a total output of 616 horsepower and a peak torque of 800 Nm to the wheels through an eight-speed ZF transmission. Bentley says that the Continental GT Speed can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in almost 4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 330 km/h. The fuel consumption in the large street cruiser has been improved by 12 percent thanks to a new intelligent control system.
