The brand new BMW 2-Series Coupe has been recently spied in the snow while being tested by the German based automaker.
BMW is planning to stop producing the current 1-Series Coupe, which will be replaced by the 2-Series Coupe, and the model is also expected to get a 2-Series Convertible version, along with a possible 2-Series Gran Coupe and even an M2 variant for these body styles. The new BMW 2-Series Coupe doesn’t seem to be so far away from the production line because spy photographers keep catching it on camera more often these past few months.
Rumors are saying that the final production version of the BMW 2-Series Coupe will get the 2.0 liter gasoline four-cylinder engine under its hood, available in three outputs, 150 HP (112 kW), 177 HP (132 kW) and 218 HP (163 kW), along with a 214 HP (160 kW) turbodiesel. The units will be mated to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic and xDrive all-wheel drive will be available at an extra cost. The BMW 2-Series Coupe is also expected to get an inline six-cylinder 3.0 liter engine, producing 315 HP (235 kW) and 450 Nm of torque (332 lb-ft). More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
