The first promotional video with the BMW 2-Series Gran Tourer is showing us what the premium MPV can do.
After being officially unveiled just a few days ago, the newest addition to the BMW family, the 2-Series Gran Tourer, is now the subject of its first promotional video in which some of its features are being highlighted, along with its practicality. The model is 4,556 mm long, 1,800 mm wide and 1,608 mm tall, with a total boot space of 1,905 liters with the rear seats folded.
The compact vehicle has seven seats, longer rear doors, a higher roof and a revised rear end compared to the already available 2-Series Active Tourer and it is bringing the 1.5 liter 3-cylinder engine on the 218i entry-level version, with its 136 HP (100 k)W and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the model needs 9.5s and top speed stands at 205 km/h (127 mph).
The other petrol burner is a 2.0L four-cylinder with 192 HP (141 kW) and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque. Diesel lovers can choose from the 1.5L turbo 3-cylinder on the 216d, with its 116 HP (85 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque, from the 218d with a 2.0L unit rated at 150 HP (110 kW) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) or the 220d xDrive which is adding the 2.0L with 190 HP (140 kW) and 295 lb-ft) of torque, connected to the 8-speed automatic transmission.
