The German based automaker BMW has recently released a new promotional video with the brand new i3, which will go on sale by the end of the year.
After it was officially unveiled just a day before writing this article, the brand new BMW i3 is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new video, which is showing the model in motion, on the road. The new BMW i3 represents the debut of the new “i” brand, which will also include the larger and more impressive i8. The small “green” hatchback will set you back for 34,950 euros on the Old Continent, VAT included, while over-seas, the car will cost 41,350 USD.
Power to the BMW i3 is being provided by an internal combustion engine, which is rated at 170 HP and 184 lb-ft of torque, which is backed up by a synchronous electric motor, which has been developed and produced by the company. The powertrain is “helped” by a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is offering a range of 8 miles. The new BMW i3 has an aluminum chassis and a CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) passenger cell mounted on top of it. The BMW i3 will become available to its future customers from November, this year.
