The German based automaker BMW has released a new video with the i8, in which the model’s performance is being highlighted.
The brand new BMW i8 is being placed into the spotlights once again, after it has been officially presented to the public in production form just earlier this year, this time with the help of a new official video. The BMW i8 is definitely the most eco-friendly sports car ever made and it has been equipped with a 1.5 liter three-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, which is producing a total output of 231 HP (170 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. The petrol burner is backed up by an electric motor, which is sending power to the front wheels, generating an extra 131 HP (96 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. The total output produced is 362 HP (266 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.4 seconds and top speed stands at 250 km/h (155 mph).
