The BMW i8 is the company’s first hybrid sports car and it’s currently assembled in Leipzig, Germany.
The model in question stands at 4,700 mm in length, 1,940 mm in width and 1,300 mm in height, weighing in at 1,485 kg. Power is coming from a 1,5 liter I3 turbo engine, rated at 228 HP (170 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque, backed up by a hybrid synchronous motor, with 129 HP (96 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. The total output produced stands at 357 HP (266 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. The internal combustion engine is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission and the electric motor to a two-stage automatic.
