Jonny Lieberman from Motor Trend has recently went for a spin in the impressive BMW i8 and he tried to answer some pretty difficult questions.
BMW enthusiasts, gather around, take a seat and open a bag of chips in order to check out the newest review of the BMW i8, which is signed by Motor Trend. Jonny Lieberman is suggesting that the “i” might be the future “M” in the company as the i8 has a pretty good chance of sporting a successor which would put some shadows on the true M cars currently developed by the carmaker.
The BMW i8 has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in its final production form. This is the second model in the new “i” range, after the i3 and it is coming in a two-door body style. The i8 is taking its power from a hybrid synchronous motor, producing 131 HP (86 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. The range extender 1.5L I3 turbo, with 228 HP (170 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque can also be ordered. The total output produced stands at 357 HP (266 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque.
Following the January world premiere of the C350 Plug-in Hybrid in Detroit during the 2015 North American International Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz has taken its time and presented the model to the European public during the 2015 edition of the Geneva motor show.
