The newest addition to the BMW performance vehicle lineup, the M2, has been caught on camera once again while it was still being tested out on the Nurburgring.
The German based automaker BMW is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off its newest model, the M2, but until that will happen, the company is still making sure that everything is in its right place and working just like it should. Before being officially unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September, more and more videos, like the one posted below, will continue to hit the web.
Rumor has it that the German based automaker will be making use of the 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine under the hood of the M2 Coupe. The unit should be capable of producing a total output of 370 HP (270 kW) and a peak torque of 465 Nm (342 lb-ft), 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) with overboost. BMW will also be making use of the quad exhaust setup used on its larger brother, the M3, along with the same braking system. Rear-wheel drive will be the only layout offered and power will be sent to the wheels through either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the M2 should need approximately 4.4 seconds. Top speed should be limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The model will debut in September, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it should start from just above the 50,000 EUR mark.
