Another prototype of the upcoming BMW M2 has been caught on camera once again while it was being tested out on the “Green Hell”.
The German based automaker BMW is getting ready to introduce the new range-topping version of the 2-Series Coupe, which will be positioned on top of the current M235i and will be named the M2. Yes, this will be a true M vehicle which will have the chance of going up against Mercedes-Benz’s CLA45 AMG four-door coupe or the upcoming Audi RS3 Sedan. But before it will be ready for its debut, BMW has to make sure that everything is in its right place and working just like it should so the newest testing session has been caught on camera, coming from the Nurburgring.
The BMW M2 Coupe will be coming with a more aggressive body than the current M235i which will have a double role, that of making it instantly recognizable and that of making it more aerodynamic. The model in question will also be packing a quad exhaust setup, along with the same brakes which are found on its larger brother, the M3. Power will be provided by the 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine, which is capable of putting down a total output of 370 HP (272 kW) and 465 Nm (342 lb-ft) of torque, 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) with overboost. The M2 is expected to be unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
