Autocar has released a new video in which the BMW M4 Coupe has been taken against the i8, on the track.
After the clip posted by another comparison between the two vehicles has been released, this time by Autocar. In the newest clip, the performance two-door vehicle is being taken on a track and posted against the i8, so if you would like to see just how big of a difference there is between the two vehicles, all you have to do is scroll down and click the play button.
The BMW i8 is the second vehicle in the new “i” brand, after the i8. The model in question is a hybrid sports car which is being put together in Leipzig. It has a two-door coupe body style and a 1.5 liter inline three-cylinder engine and a 131 HP (98 kW) electric motor, powered by a 7.1 kWh lithium ion battery. The total output produced is 357 HP (266 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft).
The M4 Coupe on the other hand is powered by the same engine found on its four-door brother, the M3. This is a 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo, with 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. It can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 4.1 seconds and it has an electronic limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), just like the i8.
