BMW has released a new promotional video with the new generation of the M5, codenamed the F10, and with the 1M Coupe, which have been described as “The Ultimate Driving Machines”.
The BMW 1M Coupe is one of the hottest rides to own and drive right now and it’s design and feel is reminding the company’s fans of the classic E30 from the early 90s. The BMW 1M Coupe is powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder 2,979 cc engine, which is developing a total output of 340 horsepower, at 5,900 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 500 Nm, available from 1,500 rpm. The small German vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, before reaching its 250 km/h top speed (155 mph).
Moving on to the BMW M5 F10 and we can find the luxury provided by the 5-Series combined with the “energy” coming from the M division. The BMW M5 is powered by the company’s 4.4 liter V8 engine, which is putting down 560 horsepower, between 5,000 and 6,000 rpm, and 502 lb-ft of torque, at 1,500 rpm. The unit is coming with the M TwinPower Turbo and it’s mated to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission Drivelogic, with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes 4.4 seconds and the model can go up to its limited top speed of 250 km/h.
