The all-new BMW M5 has been recently taken for a spin around the famous Laguna Seca raceway in the United States.
After it was revealed some time ago and after it was tested by almost every major automotive TV show / magazine / website, the new generation of the BMW M5 is being placed into the spotlights once more. The impressive BMW M5 F10 is powered by the company’s 4.4 liter V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 560 horsepower, between 5,000 and 6,000 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 502 lb-ft of torque, available from as low as 1,500 rpm. The unit is mated to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission Drivelogic, with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. The vehicle is rated at 16 mpg combined, 14 mpg in city and 20 mpg on the highway, burning 6.3 gallons of fuel every 100 miles.
