A new presentation video with the M6 Gran Coupe has been recently released by BMW ahead of the model’s public debut scheduled for the 2013 Detroit Motor Show next week.
After it was officially unveiled just a few weeks before writing this article, the brand new BMW M6 Gran Coupe is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the German based automaker releasing a new promotional video with the model. The BMW M6 Gran Coupe is a direct rival for the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG and the model will make its public debut during the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit, on the 14th of January.
Power to the BMW M6 Gran Coupe is being provided by the same engine found under the hood of the M6 Coupe and M6 Cabrio, the 4.4 liter V8, which is producing a total output of 560 HP (412 kW) and 680 Nm of torque (502 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a seven-speed M double clutch transmission which is allowing the model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, before reaching the electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The speed limited can be lifted with the M Driver’s Package and the model will then reach 305 km/h (189 mph).
