The first walkaround video with the new generation of the BMW X1 has been released and it is showing us some interesting features of the compact crossover.
Just a few hours after BMW has taken the wraps off the new X1 generation, the guys from AutoExpress have managed to get closer to it and this is how this walkaround video was produced. Don’t expect your average review because this is just the start of a lot of things which will eventually form your opinion on whether you should go for the new X1 generation or choose an Audi Q3 or the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
The 2016 BMW X1 has a design which is bringing it closer to its larger brothers, the X3 and the X5, and it is coming with the Sport Line, the xLine and the M Sport styling packages, with Alcantara / cloth sport seats, with the Aluminum Hexagon trim, with the 18-inch alloy wheels, the freestanding iDrive infotainment with its 6.5-inch display, the new optional head-up display, the Driving Assistant Plus package and so on.
The engine lineup in the new generation of the Bavarian compact premium crossover will include two petrol and three diesels. The petrol units are the 2.0L with 192 HP (141 kW) & 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) and the 2.0L with 231 HP (170 kW) & 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, while the diesel burners have the same 2.0L displacement and they are coming with 150 HP (110 kW) & 330 Nm (243 lb-ft), 190 HP (139 kW) & 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) and 231 HP (170 kW) & 450 Nm (331 lb-ft).
