The German automaker has decided to offer in a promotional shoot the details behind the reason for calling the top spec 7 Series a true model worthy of the M moniker.
The BMW M760Li xDrive is the company’s current cream of the crop vehicle – the flagship and its largest sedan. And it’s also the one getting a fresh video for the company to explain the reasoning behind calling it worthy of the M badge as well as the huge price of more than $153k. It even has two versions – the M760 sporty version or the luxury-laden and less aggressive styled V12 Excellence model. No matter the choice, owners still get the same 601-horsepower (448 kilowatt) 6.6-liter V12 – which is enough for supercar credentials, like the 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) sprint of 3.7 seconds. Needless to say, it’s more than capable to exceed the limited 155 mph (250 km/h) maximum speed.
So, with the optional M Driver’s Package in place, it will top out at 189 mph (305 km/h). The M760i has an M Performance front with bigger intakes, while the V12 Excellence comes with excess chrome. By the way, there’s also the option of the Alpina B7 which is less costly and has even better performance 60 mph in 3.6 seconds (the same as M760i) and max speed of 193 miles per hour (311 km/h) thanks to the modified biturbo 4.4-liter V8 good for 600 horsepower.
