One of the most dangerous driving roads in the world, the Camino de la Muerte in Bolivia, has recently made more victims, after a bus fell into a gap.
The Camino de la Muerte in Bolivia, also known as Grove’s Road, CoroicoRoad, Camino de las Yungas, Road of Death or Death Road has become famous with petrol heads after the UK Top Gear crew filmed a special episode in South America. If you remember that episode, than you also remember that Jeremy Clarkson was close to his end after he nearly fell into a gap while trying to make room for a car coming from the opposite way. This is the incident that came into my head when I found this video on the eternal news provider, and not only, YouTube.
As you can see in the video posted below this article, the bus driver is trying to get through a narrow part of the road. Apparently all the people who were traveling with that bus got off, to make it lighter, but even so, the bust driver didn’t have a chance and the vehicle fell into a gap. The El Camino de la Muerte is a 69 kilometer road, leading from La Paz to Coroico and in 1995 has been named “world’s most dangerous road” by Inter-American Development Bank. About 300 travelers are killed each year along the road.
