Bugatti has released the first ever teaser video for the upcoming Chiron, the official successor of the iconic Veyron.
The Bugatti Veyron has been dropped from production recently as the final version has been shown back in March, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. But if you think for a moment that the carmaker is out of the game for good, you will be in for a big surprise because we have already shown you a spy photo with its successor and now the model is returning to our attention once again, this time with the help of its first teaser video. The clip, which has been posted below, right after the jump, isn’t revealing anything interesting on the upcoming megacar, but it is announcing “a new chapter”.
The upcoming Bugatti Chiron will have to become faster than the Veyron and even more faster than the world’s first megacar, the Koenigsegg One:1. If you are a fan of the French company, you should know that the Chiron will have impressive power figures and this will be maintaining the 8.0 liter W16 quad turbocharged engine from the Veyron, but this will be significantly updated and it will be able to produce a total of 1,500 HP (1,103 kW), with a peak torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration will be made in just 2 seconds and top speed will stand at approximately 463 km/h (288 mph). Additional details on the megacar are limited at this point and will most likely be announced next year, when its official presentation is expected to be made.
