Bugatti looks ready to set itself as a nefarious mastermind of the teasing game as its moves have been so subtle that we’re still treated to absolutely nothing when it comes to the eagerly-anticipated successor of the Veyron.
The French ultra-luxury automaker, owned by Germany’s Volkswagen AG has released yet another teaser for the Chiron, a video clip that actually delivers absolutely zero information about the car itself. The model is tipped for an early March reveal during the Geneva Motor Show and while we understand teasers will purposely not show the actual product the guys over at Bugatti are really stretching our patience. The Happy New Year teaser from the automaker hints at the “the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production super sports car” ready to overcome new dimensions. We’re playing a wild guess game here but that sounds like the brand teasing the Chiron as the model that will again rule the record run for a production model top speed. The 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint is also something to brag about, as the reports are pitting a mere 2.2 seconds time – with the maximum speed being billed at a mind breaking 290 mph (467 kph).
We believe the design will be pretty evolutionary, keeping the overall shape and the quad-turbo W16 8.0-liter engine will also be retained – though it would feature a yet to be revealed type of electrical aid to deliver 1,500 horsepower. Bugatti looks to producing 500 Chiron vehicles, here included being the convertible Chiron Targa that is rumored to come to the market around 2018.
